LA CLASSIQUE, A WORLD ATHLETICS CHALLENGE EVENT IN THE BRONZE CATEGORY

Montréal, 4 march 2024 - As it was announced last fall, La Classique d'athlétisme de Montréal will not only be part of the Athletics Canada National Track & Field Tour but it will also be in the World Athletics Challenge series in the Bronze category. This means that in addition to allow participating Elite athletes to score higher points for their performances in the world rankings towards the Paris olympics 2024 qualifying process, the new prize money structure of La Classique is making a huge leap and will total 35 000$ CAD. For Canadian and Québec athletes as well as international athletes, la Classique becomes a fantastic opportunity. All these elements will make La Classique a much more significant meet a few days prior to the Canadian olympiques Trials in Montréal and the last date of qualification for Paris set for June 30.
